Changing direct speech to reported speech and changing other words.

The direct speech phrases below were said a week ago. Complete the reported speech for each one. Omit the relative pronoun that. Change other words in the sentences if necessary. You may use full or contracted forms.

Example:
Mary: "I had a sleep this afternoon."

Answer:
Mary said she had had a sleep that     afternoon.

1) Mary: "I lost my credit card yesterday."

Mary said before.

2) John: "Houses are very expensive these days."

John said days.

3) Dave: "I cannot find my keys now."

Dave said .

4) Steve: "I must finish the report this morning."

Steve said morning.

5) Melissa: "He won't speak to me today."

Melissa said day.

6) Mary: "He isn't coming this evening."

Mary said evening.

7) John: "I'll do this tomorrow."

John said day.

8) Dave: "I don't want these ones."

Dave said ones.

9) Steve: "I saw that programme three weeks ago."

Steve said before.

10) Melissa: "I stayed in bed yesterday."

Melissa said before.
