Exercise on mixed conditionals - third conditional (if clause) + second conditional

Explanation of mixed conditionals (listen and read)...

Choose the correct solution from the verb suggestions in brackets and write it in the space provided. These are mixed conditionals, where the situation in the present is due to something that happened in the past. The if clause is in the third conditional. Choose the modal would for the second conditional in the main clause.

Example:
If we (leave earlier), we (be) there by now.
